Mtende Beach

Located at the southern tip of the island, Mtende Beach is like no other beach in Zanzibar. Nestled between two coral cliffs, the beach disappears at high tide, giving way to an emerald-turquoise lagoon. You access it via hand-crafted wooden stairs. Don't miss the famous restaurant perched on the rocks, accessible by a suspension bridge — perfect for sipping a coconut while gazing at the open sea. You can also watch local women making rope from coconut husks.
