Spice Farm

Zanzibar's spice farm is a traditional agricultural plantation growing cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, black pepper, turmeric, ginger and many more, in the island's tropical climate. During the guided tour, you walk through vast gardens, smell, touch and taste the spices directly on the plants. You learn how they are grown, harvested, processed and used in cooking, traditional medicine and local rituals. Zanzibar was once the world's largest clove producer — a living heritage.
